What’s surprising/interesting about me?
Moving from Saskatchewan over 24 years ago I started getting into Triathlon as a way of staying active. I have continued to be an active person. I found CrossFit 3 years ago just 2 weeks before my first cancer diagnosis. I continued to CrossFit during my radiation, surgeries and chemotherapy. CrossFit gave me a healthy outlet and something to focus on as I worked through the treatments. I know how important it was for me and look forward to sharing it with the members of HHCF. I recently completed a Spartan race and had one the most fun days I've had in a long time.

What’s Surprizing about me?
Originally hailing from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, I made my way west in the summer of 2013 after finishing my bachelor of education. I grew up active, playing badminton, football, soccer, baseball, curling, track, and cross country running. After high school I stayed active by lifting weights and running but this started to slow down after I moved west. CrossFit has given me a different perspective on working out and has revitalized my competitive spirit. I started to participate in CrossFit in 2015 and competed in my first open in 2016 as a prescribed athlete.
